Introduction: WANTED ¦ The Interpol features Dawood among the 12 most wanted terrorists. ¦ It states that he has 26 aliases and 11 passports issued in his name, and is residing in Karachi.

Dawood Ibrahim Kaskar is in Pakistan. And it is not India's claim. Interpol Secretary General Ronald K. Noble dropped the bomb almost accidentally, during a conversation with Hindustan Times.

Noble was at a two-day seminar organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry on counterfeiting and intellectual property rights on Tuesday. "He (a reporter) wants to talk about the man in Pakistan," he casually said to David Chavern, the chief operating officer and executive vice-president of the US Chamber of Commerce.

Noble evaded further questions and declined to comment on the global terrorist. Dawood's last passport was from Pakistan.

The first hint of his links to Pakistan came from those arrested in 1993 Mumbai blasts. The Pakistani government has on several occasions, denied his presence in the country. On October 16, 2003, the UN Security Council designated him as a global terrorist, imposing a travel ban and an arms embargo. Richard Kolko, special agent and unit chief of Federal Bureau of Investigation's national press office had said in a recent press meet that FBI would like to see the arrest of Dawood Ibrahim.
